Tío Isidro's Farm

This farm is one of the favourite places to have a great time with the family in Gran Canaria. It’s located in the Barranco de la Gallina, in Telde-Jinámar. In this farmhouse, children can interact with different mammals and birds such as goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, the Canarian pig and more farm animals, as well as see fruit trees and typical Canarian banana trees. 

There’s also a restaurant where you can try some delicious dishes. And a swimming pool where you can take a dip while the little ones have a great time with the monitors, and the entrance is free of charge! As long as you eat in their restaurant. 

La Huerta Farm School

At the Granja Escuela La Huerta de los Niños in Telde the little ones can spend their time, enjoy, learn and take care of themselves. It’s also a good opportunity for parents to take a break during holidays such as Easter, Halloween etc. 

In this camp, children are offered sporting and educational activities such as learning how to run a farm, how to grow plants and plant trees and to be aware of what affects the environment. In this way, children are linked to nature and learn how to keep their environment clean and the importance of nature. Los Olivos Ecological Cultural Centre

This large Ecological Cultural Centre houses more than 70 species of animals and a large part of the flora of the Canary Islands. This centre is a place of great cultural and didactic interest. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn how to take care of living beings, to plant agricultural products, as well as to learn in the ecological industry how ecological olives are obtained and how ecological virgin olive oil is processed and obtained. Donkey Safari

Another great outdoor activity in Gran Canaria is to visit this Donkey Safari. It's a great facility to take a donkey ride or just enjoy touching them, petting them and taking photos - if you're lucky, you might even get to see some baby donkeys! The on-site restaurant is excellent where, for a good price, you get a good quality menu. The donkeys are very tame and friendly, and the kids are sure to love them.

Palmitos Park

We couldn't forget Palmitos Park, the most famous park in Gran Canaria. It’s located in the southern valley of Gran Canaria. It’s a small zoo or animal park specializing in exotic birds, although it also has various mammals and reptiles, as well as dolphins. As part of the botanical park, you can see hundreds of plants from different parts of the world, such as tall cacti, orchids and palm trees. 

Crocodile Park

Cocodrilo Park is located in the municipality of Agüimes, Gran Canaria. The owners want to make sure that it’s not a zoo, but a rescue centre for exotic animals. In fact, it’s the only exotic animal rescue centre in the Canary Islands. Many animals were found or taken by the SEPRONA (The Nature Protection Service), which fights against illegal exotic animals, as well as rescues animals from terrible conditions. Here, children, teenagers or more adults can meet exotic species such as tigers, crocodiles and other reptiles, parrots and more. 

Sioux City

At Sioux City you’ll feel like a real cowboy or cowgirl. This facility is a reproduction of a Wild West town with cowboy shows, a zoo, dances and much more surprises. It’s located in San Agustín, in the south of Gran Canaria. It’s an incredible place to enjoy and have fun with the shows of the old American West, with a great sense of humour. Let the little ones marvel at the cattle drives, horse and pony shows, bank robberies, duels with guns or fists, knife throwing and more.
